Based in Tring in Hertfordshire we are a completely independent payroll service provider and we have been helping businesses across the UK for over 30 years. For the majority of the time we work in the background delivering a trouble free payroll service but we offer so much more than calculations and payroll slips. Employees’ circumstances constantly change, as does tax and payroll regulation, all of which impacts on your business. We offer a very professional but personable service and provide advice and guidance when you need it.
We have a varied client base with businesses from numerous different sectors ranging from dentists to dairies and we offer a bespoke service to each client. Whilst client needs’ vary, they all have one requirement in common; the need for an affordable, accurate payroll service with access to professional payroll knowledge and support that they can trust and rely on. When we relieve you of the burden of payroll we will ensure compliance and hassle free adaptation to the constant changes to payroll legislation.
We are a Bacs registered payroll bureau. Many of our clients take advantage of our ability to process salaries directly to their employee’s accounts after they have set up a Bacs facility with their bank.
This is a benefit for smaller companies who only deal with a small number of Bacs transactions each month or those who don’t have the resource to create a Bacs payment function within the business.
For larger companies our Bacs Approved stautus ensures salaries are paid directly into employees’ accounts accurately and efficiently.Â
 Our status as a Bacs Approved Bureau also demonstrates our commitment to stringent processes and secure systems as the Bacs Approved Bureau (BAB) Scheme conducts regular inspections that assess Balance Payroll’s technical competence and operational integrity.
After having always run our payroll inhouse, it was quite a big step to outsource but it is one of the best steps we have ever taken.
